StrokesPlus interference?

Hold Win key while right clicking, use "ShowContextMenu64Bit=1" line in freecommander.ini file or use FCXE 64 bit.

Did you start XE with admin privileges also?

Change TabCloseNotLockedOnClose=1 to TabCloseNotLockedOnClose=0

or uncheck this option

Try starting FC with admin rights.

You can add Frame height and Frame width columns.

Make sure Quick viewer is not active (and minimized) or Calculate the space occupied by folders option enabled.

Do you have tabs with network folders?

Please, post a screenshot with your settings!

I think that's an internal setting and users aren't supposed to edit that field. Use the Filter column.
There was a discussion about that in the forum before, but I can't find it now.

In your case there's no dilemma, you simply shouldn't use an alternate file manager.
