Re: Closing last tabs on next visit?

Hm.. strange, so the tabs are opened, or is it just history? Try this options:

Setting > General > "Delete history entries on close"
and..
Setting > View > Folder Tabs > "Always keep one tab opened" (disable).

Thanks for the suggestion Dreamer, but it did not overcome the issue.

I am able to set the "Start with following folders", being my C:\ in the left pane and my E:\ in the right pane on each starting of the program. However if ...

Auto Save Settings

Latest beta version of the program. Windows Vista Home Premium.

Settings/General/Settings/uncheck the Auto save settings - on exit box/Apply

Close the program, but when the program is opened again, the Auto save settings - on exit box is checked and the previous views have been saved and reappear.

This version, to date is working okay, when copying "larger" files from one location to another. I am pleased!

Re: Search function

Dreamer wrote:It's not implemented yet, FC XE is not completed, it's just a preview release.
So that explains why the icon is grayed out. Thanks for the posting; I thought I must have been doing something wrong.

I appreciate the ease of use for this forum, found this answer very quickly to my question.

Re: Copying ~ Not Responding

I have just installed the XE version. Will test it out. Just out of interest, how/why is the FC setting different to the Windows option?

Re: Copying ~ Not Responding

You can ignore "not responding" message and wait till the operation is completed
or
you can try the FreeCommander XE with the setting for file operations "Use FC".

Thanks for the reply. Next time I will wait and see if the operation will complete. To date the program hangs and nothing has ...

An ongoing problem is when I attempt to copy "large" files from one drive to another an error message comes up "not responding" and the program hangs. I stop the program through control alt delete and only a small part of the ...
