I have tried it and set the driver letter to be displayed at the end. Now I can change the drive with Alt+F1/F2 and then pressing the drive letter. But in the old version of FreeCommander it also worked with the driver letter being displayed first.
And I would prefer if there was a solution which ...

Re: Select drive by letter
Maybe you can find your "tool" for showing drive letter first in one of these answers:
https://www.google.de/search?num=100&newwindow=1&site=&source=hp&q=win+7+show+drive+letter+first
I am sure I can find the tool, but I still want to have the drive letters first in Windows Explorer.

Re: Select drive by letter
I see that the first letter of each drive entry is underlined. But they are listed like this:
(C:) Sys
(D:) Data
\\ (H:) home
\\ (P:) Projects
I think the drive letter should be underlined to be the correct hotkey within the list.
What is your Windows version?
Could you show us or send me ...

Re: Select drive by letter
The tab caption also looks strange:
With activated "Show drive char in tab caption" it looks like this:
N:(N:) Storage (\\servername\directory)
Any idea what is causally wrong here?

Re: Select drive by letter
Sorry, was an error in my message. I tried Alt+F1 and Alt+F2 which activates the drive dropdown list. But within the list, I could not select the drive by pressing its drive letter. This was possible in the old FreeCommander.alf5000 wrote:Try

Select drive by letter
Hello,
in the old FreeCommander it was possible to change the drive by pressing Alt-F1/F2 and then entering the drive letter. It seems that is not possible in FreeCommander XE. Or have I overlooked the appropriate setting?
