Just figured out what was wrong, I had the wrong value in one of the settings fields.

Here's the content of my .ini file

Filter1=MultiEdit

Param1=/nr %ActivSel%

[PrgFileCompare]
Enabled1=1
Filter1=ExamDiff

Tried just pasting screen image into forum, but apparently that doesn't work. Hopefully this url link will work.

Have tried setting file type to * and *.*
External executable file name is checked.
Still get the error message

Have specified external programs to be executed under Settings / Programs (Editor and Compare Files in my case), but cannot activate the specified programs regardless of the TargetExt1 extension setting in the FreeCommander.ini file. (tried *, *.*, etc.)
Always get the "Please Define External ...

Under Settings / Programs the Target File Extension field column is collapsed, and when attempting to expand the column view it just re-collapses.
This phenomena occurs for any of the tab options (i.e., Compare Files, Editors, etc.)

using ver 740 64 bit donor version on Win 7 SP1
