I became a donor after a long struggle failing to get Exif metadata enabled in FC as described here:

That 'Tools → Settings → View → Viewer → Tab Metadata/Exif' menu item wasn't available in my old 2009 02b. But after installing the latest 'FreeCommanderXE-32-public_setup.zip', it still wasn't available on that menu. I only found forum comments on it for the FreeCommanderXE-64 donor version, so I went ahead and made a donation, downloaded a copy and installed it. But I'm still not seeing that menu option.

I have a copy of exiftool.exe downloaded and the path set for another app. But I'll be darned if I can figure out how to set the path to it in FC.

Any help with this much appreciated!

What is your release?
It was introduced in the release 842:
Implemented: Viewer settings - possibility to using of exiftool.exe for showing file metadata https://exiftool.org/

Thanks for your reply Karol. It's 840. It was the only download URL I got in the email I received after making the donation. The link just opened up as a direct download, so there was no browsing for a different version. As a donor now, is there a URL I where could download 842?

In 'Help > About' I did a check for updates and logged into my FC account. But I'm only seeing links to download either 840 setup or 840 portable there.

Could you point me to where the various payment/donation options may be listed Karol? Can I build on my present donation to get 842? I'm not generally this bad at tracking down this sort of information.

Also.. Is there any metadata search function in 842? That's really what I've been looking for in an app. From what I can find so far, it seems FC is only capable of reading and displaying metadata at this point.
