After renaming a file or directory, the icon for the file type is changed to a "shared" icon (the hand).

If you change to a different folder and then back, registered/extracted icon is restored.

Cannot reproduce.

Can't confirm either (R376, Vista).

i sent marek some screen shots. It will only happen when setting the ICONS "show system icon on drive" setting to either "registered" or "fixed". with "extracted" it will work fine. (see settings > view > icons > show system icon on drive").
