To make the panel active by hovering with the mouse

Is it possible to somehow make the right or left panel active when you hover over it with the mouse cursor but not by clicking?
If this is not possible, then I suggest adding.

It is possible:
Settings (F12) > Select items > General - set the number for "Hover time for select item", e.g. to 300 ms, this way the items are selected automatically too, no need to click.

Yes it works. Thank you.
I have seen this function more than once, but I still do not understand what its meaning is.
Perhaps it is in the sense of the text of the description.
There is simply no word that the panel will be activated by hovering the mouse cursor.
At least in the Russian version.
I propose to modify the name of the function.
May rename to: "Select with mouse pointer with panel activation".
Or something like this, meaning that the panel will be activated too, but not just files and folders.
And that is not quite clear.
And with the inclusion of this function, I had a problem: files and folders stopped being renamed by clicking on them.
How to be?
So help God.

Possibly a bug or conflict, this function works good with "Open file/folder with single click" option", because the item is already selected without a click.
You can create the splitter - middle toolbar button for Rename, to easily rename any item, as workaround.
More about the "hover" feature is in the online help:

If you rename an item, you need to use a keyboard, so you can use F2 key too.

I propose to add an option that, upon hovering the mouse cursor, would enable/disable the ability to activate only panel windows, but not folders and files.
