Reqst: Modification to Locked Tab Behavior

Currently, navigating in a "locked" tab always creates a new tab (on the right) pointing to the new destination.

Instead of a new tab, I wish a default to specify which tab to use, instead of a new tab.

For instance, I personally would specify the first tab on the left (my "ombudsman" tab). In that case, my attempt to navigate within a locked tab would open the destination path in the first tab on the left of the active file panel.

Thanks for listening!

Did you try to right click the tab > "Lock - navigation enabled"? Is this what you need?

Hi Dreamer

No. I really do want to redirect the "illegal" navigation to the first tab (on the left).

For me, Tab 1 (first tab on the left of a panel) is a generic tab (all navigation enabled) initialized at Drive C:. Tab 1 is a "Current", "Don't care", "One time" tab...

I want to redirect any "ad hoc" navigation out of a locked tab to Tab 1 of the parent panel.

For some mouse-centric users, the position of the first tab in a file panel is one of the most invariant control locations on the UI. It is easy to train the hand (when moving the mouse) to return to that location as a reflexive action.
