Quick Search - find strings not from beginning of name

#1 Post by TalAnder » 06.10.2008, 11:05

In Total Commander theres an option to set the Quick-Search so it finds files\dirs even if their names don't start with the search string.

e.g.:

When I type "d" it finds also "abcdefg" and whatever file\dir with 'd' in it's name

If I go on and type "dd" (now I have "ddd" together with the first 'd'), it finds also "123dddddddddddd321"

and so on..

Its an excellent feature and I'm nearly blind without it.

Have you checked Quick-Filter?

Quick filter is definitely the way to go. I use it all the time for this specific reason.
