FreeCommander XE 2026 Build 941 32-bit Portable
Windows 11 64-bit 25H2

Every time I double click on an .exe file I get a message that says that it cannot run the Total Observer plugin. However I verified the plugin exists here:

...Free Commander\Settings\TotalObserver\TotalObserver.wcx
...Free Commander\Settings\TotalObserver\TotalObserver.wcx64

I end up right clicking on the .exe file and selecting "run as administrator" which launches the program.

What should I do?

I do not know what make the TotalObserver but you could try disable it for .exe files.

The TotalObserver TC packer plugin, is used to view all sort of archives
but not meant to be used in executing of any file typ.
So you have made some wrong assignment in your FC configuration.
