'New' object dialog box doesn't have focus

If I try to create a new item (e.g. a folder), either by right-click > New > Folder, or by using an action toolbar button for New Item, I get a dialog box to enter the name of the new item.

However, the focus is not in the field of that dialog box. I'm not sure where it is (if anywhere). I've right-clicked > New and immediately started typing a folder name on several occasions only to find that nothing is created: my typing was having no effect. If I remember to mouse-click in the dialog box, then I can create my new item.

Windows File Explorer behaves as right-click > New > Folder, and immediately shows a new folder with appropriate icon and the focussed name "New folder".
This behaviour would suit my workflows better.

Is there a setting in FreeCommander that I have implemented by mistake that produces the effect I see? What would be its purpose and benefit?

Thanks

Walter

If you had redownloaded 951 the problem was solved.
It is also solved in version 952

Hi all

My apologies, and thanks for the replies.

I was sure that I'd checked that I had the latest release before posting.
Something got crossed over somewhere. 952 came out on 25.07.2026 and I posted on 25.07.2026
I'm not sure of the date when I checked about my release. If it was just before 952 appeared, perhaps I got delayed in posting.

Anyway, downloaded 952 now and I can confirm all is well.

Thanks again.
