If poslible add "Extension" in File view.
or create custom colums profile with extension feature for each instalation.

(Im steel waiting for flat view feature. I know -> beta version).

I don't understand - "Extension" in File view??

Now:
Name | Size | Date | Attr
file1.txt | 1k | 01.01.2000 | r---
file2.dat | 4k | 01.03.2000 | r---
file3.exe | 6k | 05.01.2000 | r---

After:
Name | Ext | Size | Date | Attr
file1.txt | txt | 1k | 01.01.2000 | r---
file2.dat | dat | 4k | 01.03.2000 | r---
file3.exe | exe | 6k | 05.01.2000 | r---

You've written the solution in your first post.

Go to

View >>> custom colums

and make your own custom column.

For "how" check the help or search the forum for "custom AND column".

I know how to make own custom column.
My suggestion (if not posible to be exstension be by default) was,
that user get one custom column profile (with extension) by installation.

Since it's possible to add "extension" field in "custom columns", there should be a variation of "Name" field causing to display name without extension, i.e., exactly as in Total Commander. Some users will consider it more convinient than FAR style (even with extension repeated in the separate column).
