Use RAMDisk to speedup FreeCommander

I found it that sometimes, we can move application's Temp folder to RAMDisk instead of HDD to speed up that application. (example: Firefox)
so, I'm wondering whether or not we can do it with FreeCommander ?
If we can do it, please tell me how!

The most fundamental improvement you can make is to point the TEMP and TMP environmental variables to your RAM disk. This will affect not only FreeCommander, but everything in Windows XP. (Note: I haven't done this in Vista or Win7. Haven't really seen the need.)

To set these right-click on My Computer and select Properties. Select the Advanced tab and then click the Environmental Variables button. The TEMP and TMP variables should already be defined, so just change the paths to point to your RAM disk. Change them in both the User and System sections.

In general I like to have at least a 1GB RAM disk for this setup. Bigger is definitely better.

Note that applications with huge temp requirements, such as video encoders and the like, may require more temp space than you have allocated to your RAM disk and therefore crash and burn. You may have to point them back to a HD for temp workspace.
