Wish for file rename dialog

File rename in FC 2009 opened a Rename dialog which had the new name in one box and the extension in a second box. This made it very easy to edit the end of a name because R-arrow or End put the cursor directly at the end of the name.
File rename in FC XE 0.550 renames the file in place. I have activated "select only file name" in settings, so the name is highlighted, followed immediately by the dot and the extension. To edit the end of the name, R-arrow places the cursor between the dot and the extension, so a L-arrow is needed to move back to the end of the name.
The FC 2009 dialog is _much_easier to view and use than the method in FC XE.
I would very much like FC XE to return to the dialog method used in FC 2009, or at least provide that as an option.
