I was greatly pleased when finally the Multirename function was implemented. I have one small suggestion that would make it still quicker and more intuitive for me to use.

What I would like, and, years ago I had that particular option in the stand-alone Batch Rename Utility, is to have an option for the Multirename module to automatically select all files in the particular folder when it is started, so that I do not have to manually select the file(s) first. Clearly this would be useful only for some people, so it would need to be an option rather than default behaviour. Actually, it might be even better if that option were in the settings of each profile, so that a particular profile could be set to automatically select all the files (at least, those not excluded by any filtering set in that profile), without making that auto-selection general default behaviour.

You can use F2 on '..' item for opening multi rename with all items.

Thank you for pointing that out. However, for me that is ergonomically a bit awkward, and Ctl-M comes much more, well, ergonomically! That is particularly because I use the mouse with my left hand, and so the Ctl key is closest at hand there.

Actually I generally avoid F keys anyway, because I have one of those pesky Microsoft keyboards that have alternative functions (which I actually don't want) for those keys, which means I would often have to press F-Lock and then F2. There doesn't seem to be a means to force the keyboard to start with F-Lock enabled and keep it that way.

Hm.. I hate those keyboards, but you should be able to change it, if you can't change it with the original software, try HotkeyP and manually setup all the F keys. I wonder how anyone could live without direct F-keys, I couldn't.
