Can someone please instruct me how to replace the new Free Commander XE [color=#FFBFFF]gold[/color] icon shortcut on my desktop with the "old" [color=#0080FF]blue[/color] icon from 2009 Free Commander? Thank you!

Extract the icon from the old FC's executable using a tool like Nir Sofer's IconsExtract.
Save the icon into FCXE's folder, hit "Properties" on its desktop shortcut and "Change icon" to point to this icon file.
