I'm using this options:

SelectLeftClickOnIcon=1
SelectLeftClickOnEmptyCaption=2

First issue:

If the folder name is in this format: "a.bbbbbbb", then I can open folder only clicking on "a", clicking on "bbbbbbb" select/deselect folder, so it's treated as file/extension, I think it should be treated different, dot should be ignored for folders.

Second issue:

Even if I use option SelectLeftClickOnIcon=1 , it means that I can focus the item on icon click, it doesn't work for the [..] root item. Selecting is useless for this item, but focusing might be useful in some cases.

In 654 the second issue has been fixed, first one is different...

Here are few examples how it works in 654, selection area is in red:

[1. aaaaaaaaaa___]
[aaaaaaaa bbbbbbb cccccccc...]

If possible, I'd prefer if at least 1 or 2 letters from the end would be used for selection, like this:

[1. aaaaaaaaaa___]
[aaaaaaaa bbbbbbb cccccccc...]
