This is how I do it using the mouse:

This is how I do it using the keyboard:
- select the file
- hit Ctrl+X
- hit Backspace
- hit Ctrl+V

Would be nice to have the option for a shortcut that automatically moves/copies the selected file/s to the parent folder, but I wouldn't use it much and I think I'll just end up forgetting about it. :)

Very neat, how you made that little video and posted it here.

What software did you use to perform the actual "capture" of your mouse movements?

And once the capture video was made, how did you then edit/convert it to a form suitable for insertion into the forum here to appear and behave as it does?

Very cool, and useful.

Sorry for the off-topic: I used LICEcap to record an animated .gif and uploaded the result to Imgur. No other processing was needed.

Very cool. Thank you. Great tool, as you already know, for demonstrating how-to info.
