Favorite Items Tree Not Remembering Folders Being Closed

I've noticed that if I close folders in my Favorite Items Tree and then close and open FreeCommanderXE, it doesn't remember my settings. I've noticed that the file "FreeCommander.fav.xml" doesn't refresh. It's only when I go into Favorites -> Favorites edit... and make the changes in there that the xml file refreshes with my settings.
Is this a bug or can this be fixed so that changes (like closed or opened folders) can be saved within the Favorite Items pane so the settings can be remembered?
