I've repositioned my favorite toolbars and saved settings. But when I reopen FCXE64 the toolbars are back in their original position. I haven't had to relocate my toolbars in a long time, but I know their locations used to be able to be saved.

Can anyone duplicate this problem or tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Did you try to enable "Lock toolbars" option after reposition (right click on the toolbar)?

Yes I have. It makes no difference. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated. It's a bummer because I never seen this problem before.

If you can reproduce the problem then you could send me your settings files.

I've been have some other computer issues and ended up needing to rebuild my profile. I saved all my data, including all the FC config files. After I rebuilt my profile and using the same config files, the toolbar positions are now being saved. I have no idea why it's working now, but that's all that counts.

this bug is a pretty old one. has never been fixed.
the only recommendation I would make is:
do not use multiple toolbars but tick "one wrappable toolbar" in toolbar options.

So are you seeing this bug also? No one else seems to have it. And that's exactly what I ended up doing, but I sure wish it would get fixed.

sure, lots of ppl have reported this issue already many times, search the forum and you'll see eg here for example.

Thanks for pointing out that other thread. I never correlated hiding the main menu with this problem, however I do hide my main menu. Do you also hide your main menu?

It's interesting why Marek can't duplicate this problem. He's always very good at fixing these.
