I am having what seems to be a related problem with FCXE 686, 64-bit in Windows 7 Enterprise. My settings for default actions, editors, viewers, etc. have been lost several times, as well as choices for the action toolbar in the Splitter. I have backed up the settings and when I restore them, not all the parameters I had set are recovered.

I have not been able to detect a pattern, but being aware now that this is happening, I will monitor more closely.

I have the same problem with FCXE 686 x64 portable in Windows 8.1 x64.

What I did is ...
- Log out my user account and login the different user account of Windows.
- After that I log out and again login my user account.
- Start FCXE and found setting files are broken.

I never had this kind of problem before.

Try the latest version, 687; Marek did some changes regarding this issue. Post back if it still happens.
