Command line

Hello,
I am using FC for some time now. I miss a feature though.
Is it possible to pass the command entered in the command line at the bottom (you get there using the Shift+Ctrl+Spacebar shortcut) to a batch, that will process that command first and display the results in the opened dos prompt.
What I am trying to accomplish here is this. I do not want the dos prompt to stay, after the command finished, but want the dos window to stay there until a press a key.
Would this be possible.
