I encountered a very long first launch time of the XE-Version after Windows start up. After crawling through all the 'resolved' posts in the english and german forum my problem remains.
Here is what I tried:
- launch tests after reboot of Win7 x64 Professional (corporate domain)
- further program launches under 2sec
- every test was made with initial settings
- affected program versions: XE in 32bit and 64bit versions (donor 690 and public)
- not affected: 2009b

Could anybody help?

Possible cause - your antivirus software. At first (cold) start after Windows startup, it checks FC XE executable file, or produces its own procedures (important areas scan, antivirus DB update, ...)

Doesn't make a difference if anti-virus is running or not.

Try disabling tree view; suspect this will only make a difference if you have a network drives.

Tree-View was disabled, like I said, I did all the tests with standard/initial settings.
