Copy with directory names

I often look for files with a specific extension (*.DOC) in whatever directory/subdirectory they occur and then want to copy all the files found to another location; but maintaining their original directory locations
The search in FC is great, it shows me the path it found it in, but when I highlight all of the files and cut/paste them, they all get flattened out into a single directory.
Is there another way to do this?
