JNLP Launches

Whenever I select a .JNLP file (and the preview panel is open), it runs Java Web Start. This is a single click, not a double-click.

If I close the preview panel, then I can select the file (single click) without it launching.

In the registry, .jnlp is registered as:

Code: Select all

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.jnlp]
@="JNLPFile"
"PerceivedType"="text"
"Content Type"="application/x-java-jnlp-file"
Is the view panel reading the Content Type when showing the preview? Is there some way to have FreeCommander treat this as simply a text file in the preview?

I set

Code: Select all

Tools > Settings > View > Viewer > [Viewer Button] > as text
to add .jnlp, but the setting doesn't prevent the JNLP from launching when selected.

Thanks!

Is there a link to a test .jnlp file? I have none to test...

This one works OK. You don't have to run the app, so you can cancel it once it tries to run, but it should trigger Java Web Start if you have Java installed.

You can download to file.
