It would be nice to have such hotkeys implemented:

- Shift-F5 on a file/folder would make a copy of the current item into the same directory, asking for a new name;
- Shift-F6 does the same but removing original file (as F2 now);
- Move current F2 functionality fo F9;
- Ctrl-Up would go one directory level upper;
- Ctrl-\ would go to the root directory of the disk.

You can define your own hotkeys with Extras >>> "Keyboard shortcuts"?

Yes, but there are only commands for "Rename" and "Go to the root directory of the disk".
But there is no inplementation of:
- make a copy of the current item into the same directory, asking for a new name;
- go one directory level upper.

What I mean about "make a copy of the current item into the same directory...":
for now, pressing F5 shows the copy dialog with the current file name highlighted, but the target path is pointing to the directory opened on the 2nd panel. When checking the box "Use current directory", the path changes to the current dir, BUT - file name disappears. That's annoying. And I would like to have this dialog called by Shift-F5 with "Use current directory" checkbox checked AND with having current directory in the path AND with current file name highlighted.
(Total Commander has this feature, and it is very useful).

Just a workaround, ctrl+c and ctrl+v, then F2 to rename the new file.

Yes, workaround is useful, but it is not too convenient. Having this as a separate feature would be much nicer.

According to hotkeys, I mean that they should be pre-defined so user won't need to redefine them again and again every time he installs FC on a new system.

Copy your freecommander.shc to the new system and you have all your shortcuts like before.
And copy the freecommander.ini for all your settings.
Or copy the complete freecommander-folder to the new system and you don't need to run a setup-routine.
