Re: Sorting Order by Name
Let me reiterate the fact that I have uses program for number of years. I am able to miss obvious things that are sitting right before my nose but even I would eventually stumble upon the settings that you mentioned in the general menu. The settings do indeed referred to alphabetically listing files ...

Sorting Order by Name
I have been using FreeCommander for several years and during the time that I had used the program I have noticed that the program on occasion will start showing some abnormal behavior. I'm purposely not saying what the behavior is because it's not the same each time and most of the time the problem ...

Re: Dates Lose Their Meaning
Granny, the answer is yes to your first question concerning a highlighted file changing its date to the current date. If the cursor is moved from file A elsewhere and then moved back to file A the date of file r A has been changed to the current date.
Still considering the above scenario: I ...

Dates Lose Their Meaning
I imagine that my question has been asked and answered before but I am unable to put together previous strings on the topic of "dates" to get the answer to my question.

Yes
The screenshots look very nice. The layout appears to be user configurable to some degree. I cannot tell from the screenshots whether or not these layouts are hard coded templates or if there are many options the user can select and change as the user's needs change.

Re: Additional file attributes (beside name, size, type ...)
Each of you bring up an interesting point or points. I may be wrong, but it appears to me a couple of you have just been around for a few years. I make this point because you may have missed the all time great file manager - "Norton File Manager".

Re: Show File Size
Link is dead.
In am surprised that there is an option to view "Folders" with their size but not an easy to find way out how to display a file's size. I would think that most people would not want a folder's size because of the length of time that it takes to calculate it.

In my configuration of FreeCommander I would like to to have both panels show the same columns in detail view. For an individual file I would like to see the file's name, the file's size, date of last modification, and creation date. Out of all of these, there are 2 items that I would like to have ...

Search Term Changes with Scrolling
There must be other posts on this subject but no matter how specific I make my search terms, I can get the number of responses to be less than three hundred. When I spot check a return post, I find that the post does not have my search terms anywhere in it.
