579 - Quick search deactivation issue

#1 Post by Dreamer » 25.02.2012, 01:19

- start typing the file name to search the file, e.g. "tex" for the text.txt file
- backspace, Escape and other keys are working now
- now click within new field with the text "tex" to edit the text
= all hotkeys are disabled - backspace, delete, letters and escape

I can not reproduce it.
>>- backspace, Escape and other keys are working now
Quick search is closed now, right?
>>now click within new field with the text "tex" to edit the text
What is "new field"?

When you start typing to activate quick search, the new field is created in the status bar, e.g. in FC install folder start typing "fre", then a new white field with the letters "fre" is created in the status bar, now you have to click within this field and the hotkeys will be disabled. So quick search must be opened, but I mean quick search on left, not quick filter on right!

It was not intended that someone set the focus and edit the field.

OK, but it is a bug, IMHO, not so serious, but perhaps it shouldn't be possible to set the focus then, or it should be fixed.
