I posted in the beta forum but it may not be the beta's fault. When I ctrl-click several files (or shift-click) and want to un-select one of the clicked files, it does not work in fc (beta 64 latest one). But it works if I switch to Explorer or Powerdesk 6.
Any suggestions of what setting I might have changed by accident?
I may uninstall and reinstall to see if that works but I don't want to lose my settings.
unselect selected file
Re: unselect selected file
I'm using XE 717 x64 on win7 x64 and it works fine.
What View (List, Details...) do you use?
What are your Select items settings (screenshot)?

You don't need to uninstall anythingI may uninstall and reinstall to see if that works but I don't want to lose my settings.
To start FC XE with default settings and without plugins, you have to launch it with these command line parameters (your settings will be preserved):
/N /NewIni=FreeCommanderTest.ini /NoPlugins /Lng=English

OK, that worked. On a clean run, ctrl-click will unselect fine. So I have to figure out the difference that I added to mess it up.
I do not know how to post a screen shot as requested above. And I do not know what a "select" screen is.
I have dual screens side by side. Each has a tree and files in details view. Select items in settings is full row and sticky is off.
I have many favorite folders due to what I work on during each day.
I had the show hidden and system folders working as well.
I guess I will build my settings all over and see what I am missing.
I will post as a bug separately that right clicking a file does not bring up Nero burner as it used to on both computers. Nor does holding the Win logo while right clicking. That worked in the old 64 bit program.

Re: unselect selected file
I already had that select setting done.
Where I am now is close to good. I copied the ini file from the working laptop (also donor 64 bit) and used it to create a new FC on my desktop with its settings.
Though I had checked to show hidden file they did not show (and I do use appdata) but I manually went into the ini file and changed 0 to 1. That works. I don't know why the checked setting did not change the ini.
What I can't get to work now is to right click files and choose Nero to burn them. In 32 bit it used to work with win logo + right click. In the old 64 bit it worked straight out. In this 64 bit donor it is not appearing at all. A workaround is to open Nero and then drag the files to it. But I like the old way of selecting files first and having them bring up Nero.
I am using my old Powerdesk less and less which is good as I adjust more to your newest version. Thanks.
