Multi Rename - F2 to rename

#1 Post by Dreamer » 18.08.2008, 00:36

Context menu item and F2 shortcut to rename, or just to copy the part of the file name would be useful too.

F2 already works for both single and multiple rename, and to copy a filename we have the Alt (+ Shift) + Ins shortcuts. Why clutter the context menu.

I don't think it is a matter of the context menu being cluttered. this can simply be fixed by having a FreeCommander sub menu and the items spawn from there.

I for one support the addition of "current options" being added to the right click context menu. In addition, if not straight off, it would be nice if these options could be user defined down the road.

I mean, when you open Multi rename, click the file in the list and then right click, or press F2 directly to rename. There is similar option "Edit and lock" with different shortcut, perhaps just this shortcut might be changed to F2.
