I have noticed while testing FC 375 on two systems that when I first startup FC, it seems to start up in one location and then suddenly "jump" just below and to the right of that location.
It's very odd to see it happen, but it doesn't seem to cause instability. I'm not sure if it is because when I first installed the program, it was saved in one screen position initially but later I moved it a little down and to the right and saved the settings while in that position.
Is anyone else noticing this behavior? Happens on XP 32 bit and Vista 32 bit.
Thanks

Still no confirmation?
I don't think FreeCommander has a function to Import and Export configurations, does it?
I backup the FreeCommander folder to another drive in case I want to do a fresh install for testing but want to be able to use my favorite settings.
So when I do this, I usually copy the config from the backup into the new FreeCommander installation folder.
Could that somehow be causing this phenomenon? Or could it be something as simple as the order in which settings are read and applied?
Could it haver something to do with Layouts?
Just wanting to see. Thanks

Re: FC 375 - Window location "jumps" at start up
What do you mean - FC window, or path "start up in one location...". My FC window just blinks in the middle of the screen and then jump to the right (saved) location. Or doy you mean the path (in the address bar) is changed?Bearded Kirklander wrote:I have noticed while testing FC 375 on two systems that when I first startup FC, it seems to start up in one location and then suddenly "jump" just below and to the right of that location.

I'm sorry - I should have been more specific.Dreamer wrote:What do you mean - FC window, or path "start up in one location...". It seems that the entire dual-pane program window starts in one location on the screen and then very quickly relocates to the place that I had last saved it in.
It is not like a minimize/restore thing, as far as I can tell. But it seems more like a full-on "appear here, move there" operation.
