I sometimes try (like on a laptop I was working on) to pick some new colors under the Extras > Settings > View > Colors / Fonts area. I find that I'm not very good at creating good combinations.
So, I would like to ask you to consider adding a top 5 or top 10 set of interface colors.
This would be especially helpful for desktop and laptop LCD screens, I think.
Just like you were kind enough to include multiple date/time format options, I would hope you are kind enough to add something like this also.
Perhaps sets that you define yourself, or you may want to recruit users and testers to submit some also.
Sometimes, like on these "TruBrite" displays, white can be an alarming contrast, and the greys can be so similar that it is hard to differentiate at a glance.
I'm certainly not the best designer, but I do know I am seeing situations where color combinations look very nice on a desktop LCD but look horrible on a laptop LCD, and I'm asking for your help in providing alternatives.
I would sincerely appreciate it if you would consider this request.
Thank you,
BK
Please include some pre-defined color schemes to choose from

Yes, it would be useful, pre-defined and also custom color schemes, but for all these options:
Quick search/filter
Select items > NC-Mode
View > Folder Tabs
View > Colors
View > Colors/Fonts
Because when using dark background for example, some text colors (NC mode, custom colors for file types/extensions) would be unreadable.
Perhaps all these color settings could be moved to one new category "Colors" with sub-settings and main option "Color Schemes" which would include all the colors (and fonts).
