Would like option for Progress Dialogs to appear on Task Bar

#1 Post by Bearded Kirklander » 03.10.2008, 01:43

When I start Free Commander, it shows up nicely on the task bar as it should.

However, when I start a copy or move or some other function that produces a Progess Dialog, that dialog does not appear on the task bar.

I would like to have an option that would allow me to have such progress dialogs show up as its own task bar entry.

It helps me quickly find / identify a copy or move operation dialog when things get a bit cluttered on the desktop and / or I have many overlapping windows open.

Thank you

Hy,

you can overrule this Windows behaviour with the small program "ShowDialogsToo".

I just did a rather large copy operation and was again reminded of this feature request.

I would very much like to see an option built-in to Free Commander that would allow Copy/Move, etc. dialogs to show up in the taskbar from the beginning of the file operation to the end of the operation.

Just wanted to Re-Request it, as it were. It would be a helpful feature, especially when my desktop gets over-crowded.

It would also likely be more efficient than a third-party addition.

Thank you
