Drag & Drop not working when one pane is an FTP folder

#1 Post by Bearded Kirklander » 25.10.2008, 12:08

Title pretty much says it all.

I cannot seem to get it to drag and drop selected files from one pane over into the FTP pane.

If I press F5 to copy the files though, it works just fine.

Shouldn't / Couldn't drag and drop work with FTP?

Thanks

Have you tried Forum search (drag drop ftp)?

Support it at http://forum.freecommander.com/viewtopi ... g+drop+ftp

I'm sorry, man. I think I typed in Drag & Drop or something like that and nothing came up.

Should I not use ampersand or other odd characters?

I went ahead and posted a "Good Idea +1" message in that thread.

Again, I'm sorry about it. Maybe my grubby fingers didn't type in the right words. :(

Hy,

I don't know whether search is indexing single characters or special characters.
I mostely search for real words with the option "find all words".
So I'm often successful in finding.

Some days I'm the windshield, some days I'm the bug.

You know what one of the worst search things is on the planet??? (ok, maybe that is an exaggeration)

WIKIPEDIA

I'm telling you, if you make a single misspelling, you are totally screwed.

Why can't it have a "fuzzy logic" search engine like Google uses?

Google is a HUGE success in large part because their search code is "JUST THAT GOOD" (copyright wwe all rights reserved)

Sometimes ya get those deals where files have a period in between words, or an underscore, or a dash, or ampersand or some other lame thing and I swear, my eyes just suck sometimes at determining what the heck is used.

I gotta get my brain refurbished or something. :)
