More 'Sort By' options

Well, seems I have been looking for a utility that does File Rename but I want something that is more complete with other features to replace Windows Explorer.

It seems I also have to rename ALOT of photos at times and the sorting is fairly limited to when the file was created, but not all my photos are downloaded at the same time. Therefore, all my photos have different CREATION DATES but they were taken in chronological order, so it would help to be able to sort them by "Picture Take On". Then be able to use this to rename them with a counter in chronological order...

So, although there are many utilities that do this I want something more full-featured and FreeCommander seems like a "perfect fit" if they could take into account photo editing as an extension of file editing...
