#1 Post by kino » 14.05.2026, 17:30

Hello,

I selected both Extension and Type (interpreted) in Options for search results columns -> Extension appears to be always empty :
Search Results - Extension column empty.png
Thx.

Deactivate this option:
Show extension in column "Name"
If this setting is checked, file extensions are shown in the column "Name".

Hmmm, quite not satisfying because I mean to still have the complete filename with extension in Name.

May I suggest Extension column could still show the actual extension even if it has been "globbed" in the full file name ?
(I hardly see it could hurt any usage)

Thanks

My response was wrong.
I overlooked the fact that it's a Search Files dialog.
It is a bug currently.

The file extension is displayed in the column in the file list, regardless of the option I mentioned.
