Navigating with cursor keys while using Quick view

I can navigate with the cursor keys in one pane and use quick view to see the files(using the internet plugin) in the other pane.

Problems
Word - The documents open fine. One document after the other can be opened using the cursor keys only
Excel and PDF - The focus jumps to these documents and then the cursor keys control navigation within the documents rather than within the navigation pane.

Word style behaviour for all documents would be perfect.
