I don't know if this is something new, or longstanding, or related specifically to Win11, because I haven't done a lot of testing on these various other platforms.
But for sure on Win11 and latest current FCXE 951, if you click on the "creates new folder" button (or F7), the correct folder-creating dialog window does appear on the screen.
However if you immediately begin typing in what you want to be the new folder name, expecting pre-positioning of the cursor into the keyboard data entry field in the dialog, frustratignly nothing is entered.
And that is because there is apparently no "snap to..." that data entry area to allow immediate entry of keyboard data right there when the dialog window was created.
Please give focus to that data entry field on the "creates new folder" dialog window.
951 Win11: "creates new folder" (F7) does not give cursor focus to data entry field
Re: 951 Win11: "creates new folder" (F7) does not give cursor focus to data entry field
Confirmed. I think this is a recent regression.

Not confirmed.
This was already fixed with a re-download of version 951.
It works fine here since this.

It's a duplicate of this post:

Unless I'm finally losing (the last of) my marbles, selecting Folder then New from the Pulldown (or key F7), used to put the cursor into the name box/field, meaning I could paste the text I had just copied, now that doesn't happen.
