When creating a new folder using F7, the cursor focus is not in the entering field

#1 Post by yxpan » 20.07.2026, 19:55

I am using FreeCommander XE 2026 Build 951 64-bit non public on Win 11 Home. I found recently when I created a new folder with shortcut F7, the dialogue does not have cursor in the blank field such that folder name could be readily entered.

On the contrary, when creating new file using Shift+F4, the filename field has cursor flashing, ready for new filename.

It's a duplicate of this post:

Not so much a bug as a nice to have. Unless I'm finally losing (the last of) my marbles, selecting Folder then New from the Pulldown (or key F7), used to put the cursor into the name box/field, meaning I could paste the text I had just copied, now that doesn't happen.
Please download the 951 again - it is fixed.
