Can't turn off multiple Archive bits on a map network drive

I can only turn off the Archive bit on one file at a time on a mapped network drive. I use Search to find multiple files. I select multiple files. When I uncheck the Archive bit and then Apply, only the last file in my selection has the Archive bit turned off. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
