"Create new text" file keyboard shortcut

(Customizable) keyboard shortcut to create the new text file, similar to "Create new folder" (F7). Perhaps also a menu item.

Yes, I would love to have a key for this. Something I used to use had one, and I still miss it. Too many mouse-clicks in the present feature, though I like the naming dialog.
