Show File Size

In my configuration of FreeCommander I would like to to have both panels show the same columns in detail view. For an individual file I would like to see the file's name, the file's size, date of last modification, and creation date. Out of all of these, there are 2 items that I would like to have always displayed are the file's name and the file's size.
The way that my program is presently configured the settings are configured the way that I want while the other panel does not display the file's size. The option to use the detailed view has been selected for both panels.
I have installed the FreeCommander twice this evening in attempts to get the program's configuration the way that I would like it. I would like each panel to show columns in the "detailed" format. I also would like to have the placement of each the columns in both panels be the same in size and in heading. I thought that setting the program up program to suit my taste would be easy. Whenever I have trouble, I push the "F1" or start searching for answers in the program's help file.
I have tried to get FreeCommander's help file to work by putting it in the same folder as the program's installation files, I put a copy in the program's directory and I have even shoved one up its .... That is aggravation number one. No matter how I have tried to get that help file installed I have been foiled at every turn. What really makes so aggravating to me is that one or two out of the dozens of times that I have installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled "FreeCommander" the help file was actually installed correctly.
Major aggravation number two: since I was not able to find a heading in the help file that alluded to how to set up a column to display a file's size (it was not any problem to set up a folder size). I decided to search for the phrase "show file size". The answer that was returned was of no help. In the answer that I received each of the 3 words that I had searched on were listed individually and a notice was displayed that said because each of the words were common and that the words that I used in my search phrase were "small words" - I think that means that the words contain very few letters, I was told that I could not use any of the 3 words in my search phrase. Now what can I do? I want to look for specific words but when I tried to search for I get an error message saying that each of the words are illegal and that no search can be conducted using one or combination of any of the 3 that I had just used. I think that means I cannot search for any of the terms that I want to search for.
I am sure that there is a easy solution to my problem but I have become too frustrated to look for the solution any further. Being "shot down" by the search engine was the final straw.
Will someone please help me? I would like to be able to show the size of the files that are listed in "FreeCommander".
