I have tried to set the start folder for a few text editors.None work.
I cannot get the start folder to register by doing the setting in favorite tools.
I set the start folder to the active directory. It registers : %ActiveDir%.
I tried it with Photo Filtre, an image editor, and it worked fine.
If I run the command prompt, with a path as a parameter, the text editors do register the paths, and then they point to the path when using "File Open".
Can anyone help please?
ps. If i set the parameter to active selection the text editor opens the file.
This does not help when I need to work with a new blank directory, as there are no files created yet.

Re: start folder for text editor
Maybe context menu > new > text document helps?

Re: start folder for text editor
Thanks for the reply.
I could copy the full path and type it in the address bar, but it would be great if it could work like the command prompt.
One click and it opens in the same active folder...

Thanks for the help.yes, that does help. I misunderstood what you were saying.
What you meant was : Extras->Define Favorite Tools->Command->File->Edit New.
