Questions and or Possible Future Features

Hello Everyone,

I have a couple of questions about Freecommander XE and if they can't be answered then some future feature suggestions.

I am new to Freecommander so my first question would be, I know this is a beta version, but is this product still being worked on?

1.) As far as the selection window (left click and drag rectangle), I have been looking through all the different options to change colors and appearance of things within Freecommander and I do not see the ability to maybe fill in this rectangle with a particular color and maybe change the appearance/color of its border. Like in Windows it is a light blue box, which makes it a little more visable. Really not a huge deal if you can't but it may be nice to be able to do so. I mean at least it has one to begin with, some of the file explorers I have tried don't even have this tool at all, which freaks me out.

2.) Next is the address bar, the sectioned off "vista" style one is nice, and I like setting feature where you can set it bottom of it uses the buttons and if you click on the top you can edit the text, but I was wondering if there was a way to maybe have both the "vista" style and the classic text one at the same time, or maybe a toggle button to switch between each style (per pane).

3.) Also, not sure if there is a setting but, when you move or copy files from one pane to another, in other file explorers the pane auto scrolls to show you that those files have been put in the pane, but I have not been able to find any settings to allow for this. This one may go with my turning off auto sort (auto refresh) question (I was going to ask but someone else did so I commented on their post). When you move or copy usually it puts the files at the bottom of the pane and it automatically scrolls to show you action has been complete.

I have a couple of other questions and or feature suggestions but I think the above is enough for now.

As I have mentioned, I am fairly new to Freecommander so I am not sure if these features are available, if they are I apologize for overlooking them.

Welcome to FreeCommander. I've been using Freecommander for many years now, well before the x64 version. It is actively being developed, Marek does a great job coming out with regular Beta releases. However, to get the Beta releases you have to be donor. I recommend using FC regularly to become familiar with it and see the power that this file manager actually has. I used it for years before I became a donor, but I donated, not to get the Beta version, but because it's such an excellent program and wanted to support Marek's work. I should've donated long before I actually did.

All that said, I'm sorry I don't have answers to your questions. As far as I'm aware of FC doesn't have those capabilities.
