No, this option is no longer available.

Has the "FreeCommander XE - development support" option been removed as I do not see that option now.

I overlooked the fact that it's a Search Files dialog.
It is a bug currently.

The file extension is displayed in the column in the file list, regardless of the option I mentioned.

Deactivate this option:

Show extension in column "Name"
If this setting is checked, file extensions are shown in the column "Name".

You can define color for folders under "Settings->File/folder list: Color by file type".
With the "+" button you can specify filter for folder path or filter for folder name.

Image - use mouse wheel for:

If "zooming" is selected, it can be zoomed with the mouse wheel. With "Ctrl + mouse wheel" files can be switched.

If "switching files" is selected files can be switched with the mouse wheel. With "Ctrl + mouse wheel" it can be zoomed.

"Size..." columns - calculate the size from all subfolders

If this option is checked, the size of files, folders and items is calculated over the active folder and all its subfolders. If not its calculated over the active folder only.
